We've been getting a pretty solid turn out already - it's great to see so many new people coming out! We'll continue working on technique, and those of you who started learning to steer
This week's schedule is:
- Tuesday, 5:30 pm (with U`i, hawneyez@yahoo.com)
- Friday, 6:30 pm (with MC, kanewai@earthlink.net)
For those bringing beer ... we'll stash the coolers on land and drink after, not before, we paddle. Cool?
And new paddlers should come a bit early so that we can review some basic techniques with you!

We've got the website up again: kamehamehacanoe.blogspot.com. You can find waivers there, copies of these emails, lots of links, and the flyers for different events.
There's another site that one of the parents did from our youth program ... kamehamehacanoeclub.org. At some point I'll figure out how to merge them.

And coming up ...
- Sunday Nov 7 - North Shore Trip - We'll be heading to an eco-retreat in the mountains to harvest hau to make traditional `iako for the canoes. See the flyer for details, and please RSVP with Noah (keolaryan@gmail.com)
- Sunday Nov 14 - First Sunday paddle; and moving day! We need to move the entire club 100 meters up the Ala Wai to make room for construction activities. We'll be neighbors with Hui Lanakila; the Beach Boys are moving up by Surf Club.
- Paddle Making - We're working with Dirky to set up a day where we'll learn to make our own blades.
See you all out on the water!
ciao
MC
